Cork 2008
Hello chaps!
I've booked flights, accommodation, 2 hire cars and tee times for the eight of us that are certain to be going at this stage.
Alan would like to go but is due to have heart surgery which may preclude him from golfing for 3 to 4 months after the operation. If he is able to go then we'll just buy another flight and advise the guesthouse and golf clubs that we are now nine!
The outward flight leaves Newquay Airport at 09.35 on Sunday September 28th.
At this stage I've no idea how we'll get there but as Newquay is so close it seems silly to pay for airport parking.
There are no golf clubs booked on outward or inward flights as Air Southwest only carry them "if space permits". This is a bit scary but that's the way it is!

As Dungarvan is only 51 miles from Cork Airport and the three golf courses are all within a ten minute drive of the guesthouse, I've gone for 2 of the cheapest estate cars available.
Also, because I've booked two vehicles I've negotiated about 28 euros of discount.
In theory, the cars are Focus or Corolla estates, but you never get what you expect! They did not require a deposit either!
I've told the guesthouse that we'll probably drop off our luggage at about 1pm en-route to Dungarvan Golf Club where we have a 2.30pm tee time reserved (after a bite of lunch).
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we have tees booked for 1.30pm at

The flights are fully paid for and the guesthouse has taken a deposit. I've paid by credit card so there's no panic but, when convenient (by early April is fine), £110 from each of you would be good.
There should then be nothing more to pay until we get there on September 28th.
The return flight leaves Cork at 14.50 and is due at Newquay at 15.50 on Thursday October 2nd.
That's it for now; see you all soon, Tony
